Slow Cooker Greenbeans

 

This is a delicious savory way to get your vegetables. You and your family will love this easy slow cooker recipe, because it frees time by cooking in the slow cooker and its a great way to eat greenbeans.

What you will need:

3 cans of green beans (add beans and all of the liquid)

1/2 cup of chopped onions

1/4 Lb. of Jowl bacon or ham

3 red potatoes chopped into large pieces

1 stick of butter

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 teaspoon of liquid smoke

 

Directions:

Place everything in the crock-pot and be sure to add enough water or broth to cover veggies.

Cook on high for 6 hours.

 

Suggestions:

This is an easy way to cook up some homemade green beans and using this slow cooking process makes very flavorful beans. You can use home canned green beans or store bought. Makes a great addition to any meal.
