The Emperor’s new pasta!

This chicken and pasta in a creamy white sauce will make you and your family feel like royalty.

 This is a healthy low-fat and flavorful dish. It can be prepared quickly and easily for a delicious pasta and vegetable meal. Feel free to add your own additional vegetables and favorite meats. For a nutritious alternative you can add the new vegetable pasta instead.

What you will need:

½ cup of wine (or chicken broth)

2 cans (7 oz) of mushrooms (drained)

1 cup of frozen precooked diced chicken

12 oz of frozen peppers and onions

1(16 oz) box of pasta (I use penne or bow tie)

½ cup of sour cream

2 tablespoons of ranch dressing

1 tablespoon of blue cheese dressing

¼ cup Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons of butter

1 cup feta crumbles

 

Directions:

Sauté chicken, mushrooms, peppers and onions in the red wine until chicken and veggies are done.

Then add sour cream, ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, Parmesan cheese, and butter.

Mix together until heated.

Then add feta crumbles.

Cook pasta according to directions.

After pasta is cooked drain and add creamy white sauce and gently toss.

Serve hot.

 

Suggestions:

This is a fast and easy dish to make. Can be served as a quick lunch or one dish meal that can easily be doubled for a larger crowd. Everything in this dish can be found year-round at your local grocery store. Want to make it a larger meal serve it along with a salad and garlic bread or dinner rolls.
