Manicottis

Manicottis with spinach and kickin cans pasta sauce

Preparation time: 30 minutes

Bake time: 30 minutes

This manicotti dish is sure to please your whole family. It has spinach in the middle, so you can sneak in some of those healthy veggies. The kids will thank you and beg for more!

What you will need:

1 box of manicotti shells

Kickin' cans pasta sauce

1 pound of ground chicken or beef

12 oz of Ricotta cheese

3 (7 oz) cans of mushrooms (drained)

12 oz frozen spinach (thawed and water squeezed out)

2 cups of mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Cook the manicotti shells in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain them and rinse them with cool water. Next, brown chicken or beef and drain it in a bowl. Now mix the ground meat, the cheese and the spinach together. Then stuff the shells with the mixture and place them in a large baking dish. Then pour the kickin' cans pasta sauce over the top of the manicotti shells. Cover with tin foil. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes, remove tin foil and add a sprinkling of cheese on the top. Now cook for 10 more minutes. After that, serve them and enjoy!

Suggestions:

The shells may seem a bit undercooked, but it is important to cook them only 5 minutes so you can still stuff them. If you have any extra filling you can sprinkle it over the top with the pasta sauce, so you don't waste it.
