Fruit crisp with topping

Fruit crisp is a great alternative to fruit pie!

Instead of making a fruit pie make a fruit crisp! It uses the same filling but just no crust and a special crumble topping. If you like fruit pies give this one a try, you may like it even more!


What you will need:

2 Cans of your favorite fruit pie filling

½ cup of brown sugar

2 packets of instant oatmeal (not the fruit kind) or ½ cup of old fashioned/quick oats

½ cup of flour

¼ teaspoon of nutmeg

½ teaspoon of cinnamon

½ stick of butter


Directions:

Set pie filling aside, you will use it soon.

Melt butter and mix the other ingredients until the mixture resembles course crumbs.

Now place filling into pie pan or other baking pan and sprinkle the topping on top.

Bake at 375º for 30 minutes or until golden brown.


Suggestions:

This fruity dessert or side dish is simple to make. The fruity dish with light crispy crunch makes a great addition to everyday meal or even a holiday meal. Makes a great dessert at the end of the meal. Try serving it up with some vanilla ice cream.
